NYC, 3d buildings in Google Earth!

Have you ever wanted to visit New York City? Well now you can virtually in Google Earth‘s 3d view. Google recently added all new 3d buildings in high-quality 3D imagery of New York City. Flying through the city seems like a highly detailed video game that includes all of NYC’s cultural institutions, storefronts, and residential and commercial buildings.

People from around the world are joining in to help create 3d models of buildings too through the use of a Google application called SketchUp. This easy to use 3d program isn’t just for skilled 3d modelers, but for anyone! Go through a few tutorials and you’ll be up and creating your own 3d models in minutes!
