The other day EA announced a new game named Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning but could not show off the game until ComicCon. Well that day has arrived. There isn’t a ton to see but the trailer does show off the art direction and gives you a small idea about gameplay.

This game already has some great potential with the talents of Todd McFarlane(best known for Spawn comics), R.A. Salvatore(fantasy author), and Ken Rolston(lead designer for Elder Scrolls III & IV) behind it. If this game turns out to be amazing, it might pull some book authors into the gaming world to create some rich stories. Unfortunately you will have to wait until Fall 2011 for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
