Wealthy? Buy Bond’s 1964 Aston Martin DB5
James Bond is the ultimate badass. He gets all the ladies, drives cars normal folks can only dream about and saves the world when the need arises. Now you can slip into Bond’s world by purchasing his 1964 Aston Martin DB5 (if you’ve got several million to blow).
CNN is reporting that the car used in the James Bond films GoldFinger and Thunderball will be going to auction in London on Wednesday. Current estimates suggest you’ll need between five and seven million dollars to walk away with the prize, but oh what a prize it is. This isn’t just any DB5; it comes with all the Bond modifications in tact as reported in the article “[modifications] include front machine guns that shoot blanks, an ejector seat (that doesn’t work), radar navigation, a nail spreader, tire shredders, bullet shield and a revolving number plate.”
A revolving license plate? That could come in handy when you come up short at the toll booth. The car has had just one private owner who has kept it locked up for 41 years.
