Mars Peepshow
On January - 22 - 2010

Great news for stargazers out there; the planet Mars will be exceedingly visible in the night sky! Earth and Mars are speeding towards one another on their respective journeys around the sun and the Red Planet will be plainly visible to the naked eye as they close in on one another.
Looking due East at around 8:00 PM EST Mars will appear as a bright red, non-twinkling star (you can tell a planet from a star because the light from stars will appear to twinkle as it bends in the Earth’s atmosphere). It should be bright enough to capture your attention without much effort.
