Microsoft’s Courier Tablet, Oh No They Didn’t!
Microsoft announced and showed off what they think a tablet should be. All I can do is start a slow clap. Good Job Microsoft.
It is a journal style tablet that has 2 displays on either side and closes. It has handwriting recognition and is rumored to have a pressure sensitive pen. It also appears to have a camera and should have a ebook reader feature.
A lot of the UI and features appear to come from Microsoft Surface. Maybe Surface was just a cover for this, we just thought Microsoft wanted to get into the furniture business.
It is supposed to be coming in the second half of the year and no price has been set. I’m not sure what I would do with it but I think I might have to get one. This is really cool and I think it has a lot of potential, especially with the web sharing feature. I must say Microsoft knows what they are doing. Competition is a consumers best friend!

Now this is something I can get behind. The whole pen thing and writing is super cool, though I wonder how well it will actually work with recognizing handwriting; I may have to improve mine!

wow. that UI is amazing and i love the flow. if this is how the software is going to work this would be great. i wanted to get the ipad because it would be great for digital art but sadly there is no pen. i think i will buy this because it looks amazing for a designer. i also think there may be a camera judging by the youtube video
