Steve Jobs hosted Apple’s ‘latest creation’ event today and announced their new “revolutionary” product called the iPad. If you like your iPhone then you’ll probably love this…

What is it?

A touch-sensitive device that lets you browse the web, email, photos, videos (HD), music (built-in iPod), Google Maps, iTunes, calendar, and run apps from the App Store. Prices starting at $499.

    the battery life makes me want it for long flights, my laptop cant survive 2 hours of video playback >_<

    You could get a nokia laptop that has 12 hours of life and on a 2 year contract it is only $200

    I believe there is a market for this, but it doesn’t include me. I see it as being an alternative for those people looking to get a netbook and I’m not big on those. It may be priced too high though; for the same amount of money or less you could get a laptop with a 3Ghz processor and 300GB of storage. Then again, it is slick looking and has a better interface.
