The latest hardware survey on Valve’s Steam system shows that pc gamers have been quick to adopt Windows 7 as their OS of choice when compared to Windows Vista. Vista, which launched back in 2007, accounts for 27.91% of the user base for Steam while Windows 7, launched in October of 2009, has already nabbed 28.53%. The values represent the combined 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the operating systems and while Windows 7 has quickly grabbed a large percentage, the overall winner, by far, is still Windows XP claiming 42.78% of users.
