Is Valve porting their Steam service to OSX? New findings suggest it’s possible. The company recently released an update for the service and some of the more curious users went digging through the program files and made some interesting discoveries. They found mac-specific images such as the stylized minimize, maximize and close icons as well as a dock image.

Add these findings to the recent reports of Valve looking to hire Linux and OSX engineers and you have a pretty strong case. Nothing has been officially announced as of yet, but it certainly seems possible at this point. One important thing to note here is that this does not mean all the games will be playable on a mac only that Steam itself will run on the operating system. Individual games will still need to support the OS as well, though if Steam is making the jump, there must be a few titles ready to do the same.
