IGN recently reported that “a trusted source” informed them that long time PlayStation development house Insomniac is currently creating a multiplatform title that will appear on the Xbox 360. Insomniac is responsible for some of the PS3’s best exclusives including the Resistance series and Ratchet and Clank.

If true, this means good things for 360 owners and for the developer as well. The 360 is closely associated with popular shooters and Resistance would be a perfect fit for the console. However, as IGN points out, the title would likely be something new as both the Resistance and Ratchet and Clank games were funded by Sony.

Interesting story to say the least; we’ll be keeping a close eye on this and look forward to seeing what Insomniac may have up their sleeve.
