Today the Rock Band Network Music Store opened to the public with over 100 new tracks. The Rock Band Network is a set of tools that allow artists to turn their music into Rock Band tracks and sell them through Rock Band. Artists also get a 30% royalty on the songs they sell. In January, Harmonix opened up these tools so that anyone could make songs for Rock Band. After a peer review process, artists are able to post songs to the store.

As of today anyone with a 360 and Rock Band can scroll through these songs and purchase them. Some maybe well known by many and others maybe only known by you. The 360 has a 30 day exclusive contract and then the other consoles will get to rock out to these new tracks.
