Microsoft Announces Crunchyroll Partnership

by Ryan On July - 9 - 2010

If you’re an anime fan and an Xbox 360 owner, we’ve got great news for you: Microsoft has announced a new partnership with Crunchyroll to bring anime to the Zune Marketplace; available through Xbox LIVE. Crunchyroll is a popular website that allows users to watch new anime online. Best of all, that anime is usually subtitled; not dubbed.

According to AnimeNewsNetwork, the first titles available on the Zune Marketplace include The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Yokuwakaru Gendai Maho, and Giant Killing. Giant Killing is especially noteworthy because it is still airing in Japan and episodes will be available to those outside of Japan at nearly the same time they air in the Far East.
