Kinect Appears in Microsoft’s Online Store

by Ryan On June - 22 - 2010

Microsoft may not have made an official announcement regarding the price of Kinect, but Amazon and Gamestop both had it listed at $149.99 and now Microsoft’s own online store reveals the same. The listing reveals more than just the price; it also shows what comes in the box, what you’ll need to play and gives out some technical specifications.

Kinect comes with the main unit, a power supply cable, a Wi-Fi extension cable and a user’s manual. According to the details on the page, you’ll need about 6′ of space between you and the television for it to work effectively. Overall, none of this really comes as a shock. The $149.99 price point was expected and considering one unit is all you need for multiplayer and single player games, it really isn’t a bad deal. Of course, we have to say that Microsoft has not come out and officially announced the price, but at this point it looks like the rumors were correct.

  1. Paul Said,

How funny would it be if Microsoft never officially announces a price for it. I think that happen for Tony Hawk Ride.

Well, hey, maybe they really will just let it slip out there for $149 without telling anyone. So far that looks like the plan. lol
