GameCrush Launches Today
Apparently someone thinks gamers will be willing to pay girls to play video games with them; enter GameCrush.com. GameCrush, as reported by Kotaku, is a service that allows players to pay women to play an online game with them. Girls, if this actually works, you could stand to make some cash here. One game costs $8.25, 60% of which goes to the entertainer, and the player can choose to play either an online flash game or an Xbox LIVE title. As Kotaku points out, the currently supported titles are Gears of War 2, Halo 3, Modern Warfare 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV. Matches last ten minutes for an Xbox LIVE game or six minutes for an online flash rendezvous.
Players can interact with the girls face-to-face via a webcam and can supposedly choose between “flirty” or “dirty” when deciding what kind of girl they want to “play” with. GameCrush refers to the entertainers as PlayDates and they can be rated after a session on several categories as mentioned here: “at the conclusion of a game [the PlayDate] can be rated by the user on her ‘hotness, gaming skill, and flirtiness.’”
Well, this is interesting to say the least. Now let’s be honest, how many of you are going to try this out and completely ruin a girl’s night? Kudos if you do.
If you’re interested, the site is going live later today.
I’d go horse from yelling BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM HEADSHOT! so much
